Darren Lantz, P.E.
PRINCIPAL
Darren is the Principal Engineer of the Geotechnical Service Line for Lone Star and has more than 28 years of experience in his field. He has developed extensive project management and business management experience in Central and South Texas throughout his career. He has a vast knowledge of geotechnical drilling equipment and procedures, laboratory testing procedures, and soil/rock engineering.
Darren has considerable engineering and management experience with projects in various sectors including power generation and transmission, commercial and retail, healthcare, education, municipal, transportation, industrial and residential. He has extensive technical experience with various types of shallow and deep foundation systems, mass earth embankments and dams, retaining and below-grade walls, ground improvement and stabilization, expansive soil mitigation, karst features, forensic evaluations, and pavements.

J.R. Eichelberger, P.E.
PRINCIPAL
J.R. is the Principal Engineer of the Construction Materials Testing and Special Inspections Service Line for Lone Star. He has more than 22 years of experience in the fields of Construction Materials Testing, Special Inspections, and Geotechnical Engineering. Throughout his career, J.R. has served as a Senior Project Manager and Technical Liaison on projects in Central and South Texas in these service lines. His experience includes management of projects in the commercial, data center, industrial, educational, residential, and public infrastructure sectors.
J.R. has extensive knowledge of field and laboratory quality assurance testing procedures for soils, concrete, and asphalt material placement during the construction phase. He has vast experience overseeing the quality management processes for complex projects, including those that utilize onsite soil stabilization, deep foundation construction, and unique reinforcing steel and concrete placement requirements. J.R. is also well versed in existing pavement system evaluations and in non-destructive testing methods including impact echo, audible sounding, ground penetrating radar (concrete and CMU block), and protimeter testing.

Albert Rosales
MANAGING PARTNER
Albert is a Managing Partner at Lone Star overseeing the Construction Materials Testing and Geotechnical Laboratory Services as well as the CMT/Special Inspections Field staff. Albert has more than 20 years of experience performing Construction Materials Testing and Geotechnical Laboratory Testing Services. He has in-depth knowledge of testing procedures as specified by ASTM, AASHTO, and TxDOT. He also has extensive experience with concrete testing, asphalt testing and soils testing procedures in both the field and laboratory. Furthermore, he is proficient in Special Inspections for Reinforced Concrete, Fireproofing, Concrete Post and Pre-Tension, Masonry Construction, and Wood Framing. Albert currently serves as the President of the San Antonio Chapter of the American Concrete Institute and is currently an active board member.
